Excel Australia is the company that has written and developed the Rental Workbook.
The Rental Workbook was developed in 2001 in response to the growing need for a simple, easy-to-use program that helps investment property owners keep track of their investment property. Most of our customers don't want to use complicated accounting software or other technical software packages - that's why they love the simplicity and power of The Rental Workbook.

Mel Lowe, MAAT, MS Office Master Instructor (Executive Director)
Mel migrated from the Accounting industry by training the Accountants themselves how to use their PC’s. Having previously worked in Management Accounting in the UK, she moved into Software training side of things in 2000 working for a highly regarded Accountancy training firm.
Having moved to Australia in 2003, she now works as a private in-house Excel & workplace consultant, and also training Excel and other Microsoft™ products for her clients. She specialises in producing workbooks for those who don’t have time themselves, and in increasing the workplace productivity and efficiency by ensuring the end users have the training and assistance that they need.
She holds the Microsoft Office Master Instructor Certificate, and the Cert IV in Training and Assessment and is also known as "Oook!" in the knowledgebase.
Patrick Thatcher, PNA, FTIA
Patrick is a qualified Tax Accountant who specialises in providing advice to investment property owners. In addition to his directorship at Excel Australia, he is a partner in an accounting firm. Patrick brings a wealth of experience in tax issues, investment strategies, and general accounting.
Jeff Robson, BCom, CISA, AIMM, Excel Expert
Jeff specialises in Microsoft Excel development and training, and Spreadsheet Modelling Best Practice consulting.
He holds a Certified Information Systems Auditor from the Information Systems Audit and Control Association. He has 10 years experience with Microsoft Excel, 6 years experience in Information Systems Audit, and worked for 4 years in external audit at a major Chartered Accounting firm.
He has been involved in many Excel development projects for clients around the world including sophisticated spreadsheet modelling, spreadsheet auditing and review, and advanced macro programming.
